Non-Thesis Mechanical Design and Manufacturing (MDM) Program


Starting from Fall 2012-2013, there will be a new graduate program (non-thesis M.Sc.) "Mechanical Design and Manufacturing (MDM)". The program will be carried out in the evenings and class meetings will be held at 18:30-21:30.

Admission Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering and Basic Sciences
  • Proficiency of English: A minimum score of 65 in METU English Proficiency exam or equivalent (TOEFL 79, TOEFL PBT+TWE 550+4, IELTS 6,5)
  • A minimum score of 65 in Graduate Admission Exam (ALES) or equivalent (GRE 678)
  • Applicants can either apply online or submit their applications to the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences during the periods announced. Admission is subject to approval of the program committee. The fee to be paid per credit by students accepted into the program will be determined by the University Administrative Committee at the beginning of each semester.

Program

The students are required to take 10 courses (2 compulsory and 8 elective) with 30 credits and a term project.

Graduates of this program cannot apply to the PhD program.
