Double Major

The aim of the double major program is to allow academically successful students to work towards a second undergraduate diploma degree in the Mechanical Engineering Department.

The program consists of all courses in the undergraduate curriculum. Therefore, those students seeking a double major in Mechanical Engineering must satisfy not only the requirements of their own major program but also the requirements of the B.S. program of the Mechanical Engineering. The equivalency of courses which will be considered to satisfy the requirements of the B.S. program of the Mechanical Engineering are determined by the Department subject to the approval of the Faculty Executive Board.

The directive for Undergraduate Double Major Programs can be reached at http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/double-major-minor-program-applications

Double major coordinator:Dr. Suat Kadioglu (office B-318, tel : 210-5294, e-mail: kadioglu@metu.edu.tr)

Important Note: Double major students who are registered to Mechanical Engineering Department as major program have to take the must courses from Mechanical Engineering Department. Therefore, when the must courses are considered, the equivalencies table below is not valid for Mechanical Engineering students who are registered to a double major program.
