Project topics are announced. Each student is required to pick a subject and prepare a presentation or develop a program about it. The assignment of the projects is on “First Come First Served” bases. Send your selected topics to Ural Uluer (uluer@metu.edu.tr) via e-mail. "Free Subject" can be selected by more than one student. Student willing to work on a "Free Subject" should select a topic in the scope of the course content and verify the topic by sending an e-mail.

There will be neither a lecture nor the tutorial on PLC Ladder Diagram Programming on 02.11.2009 (Monday). A make-up lecture will be arranged later and announced here.
The tutorial and the experiment on PLC Ladder Diagram Programming is postponed to a further date. Exact time for both will be announced on the web site. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Second experiment on Statistical Process Control (SPC) will be held on 26.10.2009 (Monday), 27.10.2009 (Tuesday) and 28.10.2009 (Wednesday). Please read pages 33-42 in your lab manual before coming to the lab session. There will be a short quiz at the beginning of the session.

First experiment on Proximity Sensors will be held on 21.10.2009 (Wednesday) and 22.10.2009 (Thursday). Please read pages 1-20 in your lab manual before coming to the lab session. There will be a short quiz at the beginning of the session.

Empty schedules will be distributed on 12.10.2008 (Monday) after the lecture hour. Please follow the steps below:

Form a group of at most five students. |

Fill in the schedule to indicate at least 10 free class hours. Each group will submit one schedule |

Submit your schedules to Ural Uluer (CIMLAB) by 13.10.2009 (Tuesday), 17.40 |
|
Each lab session will last about one hour. Some labs will occupy 2 weeks (Sensor, CNC and maybe PLC experiment) |
|
You will find all the related material (including the lab manual) in Laboratory link. |
|
Check the web page frequently for any announcement about labs. |
